Question 1

How is Kiln different from Clay?

Accepted Answer

Two things: price of verified answers (about 4¢ on Kiln vs 20-40¢ on Clay) and access to features (CRM sync and API start at $49/mo on Kiln rather than $495/mo). Kiln also offers hardware-encrypted BYOK keys with 0% vendor markup and hard spend caps.

Question 2

Can I bring my own provider API keys (BYOK)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every tier. Connect Hunter, Apollo, Prospeo, Findymail, Dropcontact or People Data Labs and pay vendor rates at cost with zero markup.

Question 3

What happens when I hit my monthly limit?

Accepted Answer

Every workspace has a hard spend cap enabled by default. Enforced server-side before any provider call is dispatched, completely preventing runaway overage charges.
